Choice reading in the high school classroom.

Last summer I went to an amazing conference: Literacy by the Lakes at UW Madison. It used to be that my idea of choice reading was literature circles once a year. My perspective has completely changed since LBL! Now my students read at least two books a semester, three that are completely chosen on their own. After increasing my classroom library, my students' reading has gone up amazingly! Coming soon are some of the fun projects I did with my students this year based on some of the ideas from LBL.
